Project Manager (Senior Level)

JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are seeking a seasoned and strategic Senior IT Project Manager to lead complex, cross-functional IT initiatives across the organization. This role requires a strong command of project delivery practices, stakeholder engagement, and portfolio-level oversight. The ideal candidate will demonstrate leadership in driving strategic initiatives, standardizing project practices, and ensuring alignment between IT and business objectives.
While primarily focused on managing key projects, the role also supports the development of consistent project methodologies and governance practices across the enterprise.
Duties and Responsibilities

Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of high-impact IT projects involving multiple stakeholders and departments.

Oversee program-level initiatives, ensuring dependencies, timelines, and resource allocations are effectively managed.

Collaborate with senior leadership to align project goals with organizational priorities and strategy.

Establish and maintain best practices in project planning, execution, risk management, and reporting.

Provide guidance and oversight to junior and mid-level project managers; support continuous improvement across the project management function.

Prepare and deliver executive-level project updates, dashboards, and recommendations.

Coordinate with business units and IT teams to ensure successful delivery, change management, and adoption.

Contribute to the development of project management standards, tools, and templates to ensure consistent delivery across all IT initiatives.
Core Qualifications and Education

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, or related field; a master’s degree is a plus.

7+ years of experience managing complex IT projects or programs.

Proven ability to lead large-scale initiatives involving multiple technical and business teams.

Deep understanding of project delivery methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid) and project portfolio oversight.

Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Skilled in risk management, resource planning, budgeting, and cross-functional coordination.
- Advantages (but not required):
● Certification in PMP, PRINCE2, Agile/Scrum, or Lean Six Sigma.
● Experience supporting or driving IT project governance, standards development, or
portfolio reporting.
● Proficiency with project management tools such as MS Project, Jira, Smartsheet, or
similar platforms.
● Exposure to enterprise IT environments such as infrastructure, cloud, security, ERP,
or core systems.
● Familiarity with IT service management (e.g., ITIL) and organizational change
management practices.
