What We Have Done
CUSTOMS SYSTEMS COMPANY, INC.
The system was designed to capture sales transactions through telephone calls. The main users of COSMOSII are the: Consumer Unit, Mortgage Unit and Business Banking Unit of Charter One. These units facilitate sales by acting as the agent between the consumers/companies (customer) and the branches (seller). Although COSMOS was initially designed to handle end-consumer products, the CSC-RADIX negotiation for COSMOSII included revision of the system to handle mortgage products also. RADIX’s contract with CSC included enhancements to accommodate another unit they call Business Banking.
CALL HENRY, INCORPORATED
Boeing Services International (BSI) came to Manila in November 1984 to develop a large, on-line system for Base Operations Support. The system was completed by the forerunners of RADIX in one year and was installed in Florida.
PRIME SOLUTIONS, INCORPORATED
Prime Solutions, Inc., a division of Storage Tek, contracted RADIX in July 1993 to provide programming support in the enhancements required on their Nearline Data Management Software (DMS).
DMS is part of the PSI’s Nearline for AS/400 package that offers a comprehensive and versatile automated tape storage management system. With DMS, a Library Control Unit and an Automated Cartridge System tape library device, the package manages the storage and retrieval of data, providing librarian features for the AS/400.
DOLE ASIA LIMITED
Dole Asia Limited contracted RADIX to analyze, design, develop and implement an integrated Materials Requirements Planning System for the Agriculture Division. The system enables Agriculture to have a fair estimate of the required materials as well as the scheduling of activities needed to meet the desired fruit tonnage output.
POBLADOR, AZADA & BUCOY LAW OFFICE
The law firm engaged the services of RADIX in May 1997 to upgrade and enhance their existing operations management system that was running on System/36 COBOL. RADIX has conducted a full review and redesign of the system for the AS/400. The programs were also written in COBOL because the expertise of their in-house DP personnel is in COBOL.
LEGAL & GENERAL NEDERLAND
In December 1997, Legal & General requested RADIX for a two-week quick scan study for its Euro currency problem in its offices in Holland to evaluate the problem, develop possible solutions and estimate the scope of work required. There are two major activities for Euro conversion: database conversion and program modifications. In database conversion, a detailed review of all data files within the application will be done to determine the amount fields, the amount field relations within a file or between files and the files defined as multi-member files. In program modifications, additional processes or changes will be incorporated in the programs to provide the users the facility to input and view data in both currencies.
GOODYEAR TIRE AND RUBBER COMPANY
Custom Systems Co., Inc. (CSC) is a consultant of the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company. They conducted the user interface and provided RADIX with the systems specifications. The documentation became the basis for the detailed systems design, software construction and testing and the preparation of user and technical documentation. RADIX has also assisted in installing the system in Akron, Ohio. The applications have extensive use of EDI translators conforming to ANSI X.12 standards.
NISSAN MOTOR PHILIPPINES, INC.
Nissan Motor Phils., Inc. sought the assistance of RADIX in developing an enterprise-wide computerized information system that would address the company’s ever-increasing information needs for proper and effective planning, monitoring and control of its operations. In response to this, RADIX wasted no time in identifying the functional areas for automation and the strategy and approach to achieve this objective.
PILIPINAS HINO, INC.
Pilipinas Hino, Inc. (PHI), a leading truck and bus assembler and distributor in the Philippines contracted RADIX to design, develop and implement a comprehensive information system that would support the company’s operations from production to parts distribution.
